The ACAI fruit, a small, round, black-purple drupe about 1 inch (25 mm) in diameter, similar in appearance and size to a grape but with less pulp, is produced in branched panicles of 500 to 900 fruits. Two crops of fruit are produced each year.  The exocarp of the ripe fruits is a deep purple color, or green, depending on the kind of açaí and its maturity. The mesocarp is pulpy and thin. It surrounds the voluminous and hard endocarp, which contains a seed with a diminutive embryo and abundant endosperm. The seed makes up about 80% of the fruit.

Hello – Here a little help to those of you that suffers with Jumpers knee also cald patellar tendinopathy, what is Jumpers Knee :

It begins as inflammation in the patellar tendon where it attaches to the patella and may progress by tearing or degenerating the tendon. Patients present with an ache over the patella tendon. Most patients are between 10 and 14 years old. Magnetic resonance imaging can reveal edema (increased T2 signal intensity) in the proximal aspect of the patellar tendon.

Symtons are :

  • pain and tenderness around the patellar tendon
  • swelling
  • pain with jumping, running, or walking
  • pain with bending or straightening the leg
  • tenderness behind the kneecap
